11 Bible Verses For When You Are Slipping
Today I was looking at Bible verses for when you are slipping. During a small group discussion at the Bible Cafe™ one of my friends felt her faith was slipping. This friend was experiencing a difficult season in her life. Trying to keep her balance between faith and fear…she said it “feels slippery.” And we know in times of hardship, sometimes it can also feel like spiritual weakness. These are times where we feel we are sliding downhill, or slipping on thin ice. And so to help my friend, I found these Bible verses for when you are slipping.
To slip means “sliding unintentionally for a short distance.” So that should be encouraging. Its short. And by definition, slipping is not intentional. That too, is encouraging.
Cover to cover, the Holy Bible includes stories of people who encountered times of slipping. Woven into the story of human weakness, we discover the courage and strength of Christ.
