Sitting beside me is another planner. With the tools to focus my day, my mind still wanders into the land of chaos. Five minutes into my day and “the planned” has become overshadowed by complexity.
Today my prayer is for simplicity, Oh Lord. Help me keep things simple so I’ll finish my tasks. Let me resist the temptation to complicate things and cause frustration to myself or to others. Help me schedule my day into short blocks of time, and let each time block be productive.
My Bible study is an important part of my day and I will set aside time to meet Jesus there. I look forward to this day because it will be uncomplicated and simple to complete! You have my love, my loyalty and my life. Amen.
A devout life does bring wealth, but it’s the rich simplicity of being yourself before God. Since we entered the world penniless and will leave it penniless, if we have bread on the table and shoes on our feet, that’s enough. 1 Timothy 6:6-8 MSG
LIVING FOR TODAY
Living in simplicity is being myself. I refuse to identify with world labels. Because I know God and I love Jesus- the label I wear today is BELOVED.
