This is a year when God call us to learn Bible Verses About the Eyes of God. And to be His witness and to see through God’s eyes. In Bible this is often interpreted as the “heart of God” rather than a physical attribute. It can also mean “knowledge”  (Hebrews H5869). Let us examine the world through the lens of heart-knowledge. Through God’s eyes.

Bible Verses About the Eyes of God

…the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year. (Deuteronomy 11:12 NKJV)

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8 NLT)

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:1-2 CSB)

For his eyes watch over a man’s ways,
and he observes all his steps. (Job 34:21 CSB)

There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:18 CSB)

Then my enemies will see that the Lord is on my side. They will be ashamed that they taunted me, saying, “So where is the Lord— that God of yours?” With my own eyes I will see their downfall; they will be trampled like mud in the streets. (Micah 7:10 NLT)

Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.(Deuteronomy 4:3 NKJV)

Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. (1 Corinthians 1:26 NLT)

Do you see hurting people through God’s eyes? Think about the people who trust you enough to ask for prayer. They share intimate stories of hurt, betrayal, fear or loss. These are the people God sees.

When you look at the prayers through the eyes of God…you understand the incredible love God feels for His children? May the knowledge and heart of God help you see His:

  • Pain for their suffering
  • Pain for their hurt
  • Pain for their fear
  • Pain for their betrayal
  • Pain for their sin

Through the eyes of God, so much pain. He sees and He cares, so He sent Jesus to earth. His own Son.

God knows we are desperate children and He shows His unyielding love. God knows His children are lost…and like any loving parent…He will seek His children to the ends of the earth until they are found. He helps the become forgiving and forgiven.

  • When you seek comfort… do you look for food or addictions?
  • When you seek strength… do you call on your friends?
  • When you seek healing…. do you read the latest self-help books?
  • When you seek courage… do you look for revenge?
  • When you seek pride… do you align with the worldviews?

God sees His children…and He sees them reject and turn away from His healing love, His comfort and His strength.
Yet He patiently waits for His children. He is the life…the air that we need to breathe….. quiet time with God.

May the Presence of the Father and the eyes of God live inside you.
God loves His children.
