Looking at 1 Samuel 2:7 the Hebrew word for wealthy (H6238) means to accumulate; chiefly (specifically) to grow (causatively, make) rich. This is important because we see that it was not sudden wealth, or a get rich quick wealth.
Move into the New Testament at Luke 12:21 and you find (G4147) means to be (or become) wealthy (literally or figuratively):—be increased with goods, (be made, wax) rich.
