The Holy Bible is filled with helpful words to instruct us how to live humble lives. When it feels like the world is saturated with pride, here are some helpful Bible verses to remember.
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. (Isaiah 57:15 ESV)
The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor. (Proverbs 15:33 ESV)
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:6-7 ESV)
