Bible Verses About Bribes

You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and corrupts the words of the righteous. (Exodus 23:8 CSB)

Take no bribes, for a bribe makes you ignore something that you clearly see. A bribe makes even a righteous person twist the truth. (Exodus 23:8 NLT)

Do not take bribes. Bribes blind perfectly good eyes and twist the speech of good people. (Exodus 23:8 MSG)

But select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. Appoint them as leaders over groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten. (Exodus 18:21 NLT)
