More About Author Beth Moore
Beth Moore was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 1957, but she grew up in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where she attended a Southern Baptist church with her family. It was there that she developed a love for God and a desire to serve Him.
After graduating from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in political science, Moore worked in television production for a brief time before turning her attention to ministry. In 1994, she founded Living Proof Ministries, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to teaching women how to study the Bible and apply its teachings to their lives.
Since then, Moore has become a popular speaker and author, with millions of people attending her conferences and purchasing her books and Bible studies. She has written more than 20 books, including “Breaking Free,” “Believing God,” and “So Long, Insecurity,” all of which have been widely read and appreciated.
In addition to her books and speaking engagements, Moore has also been involved in several other ministries over the years. She has been a regular contributor to podcasts, Life Today TV show, and even a brief appearance in the War Room movie with her friend Priscilla Shirer!
Despite her success and popularity, Moore has not been immune to criticism and controversy. In recent years, she has been vocal about her concerns with the evangelical movement and its ties to politics. She has been a strong advocate for women’s rights in the church. Her outspokenness has not always been well-received by some in the evangelical community, and she has faced criticism and pushback from some of her peers. However, Moore has remained steadfast in her commitment to speaking the truth and standing up for what she believes in, even in the face of opposition.
As she continues to teach, write, and speak, she will undoubtedly continue to inspire and challenge others to live their lives in a way that honors God and makes a positive difference in the world.
