Welcome to the Bible Cafe™ as we study Believing God by Beth Moore. This week is the opportunity to meet your leaders and the members of your online Bible study. We’ll show you how to join the small groups during the Believing God Introduction. Be sure to register for the study Believing God.

For this online Bible Cafe study, you have the option of using a workbook or reading a chapter book. The workbook is a deeper study and requires more time. The chapter book is also good. For the summer study, select the book that works best for you.

We selected the Believing God by Beth Moore study because it’s one of our favorites to lead. This study has changed lives and refueled a lukewarm faith. I love the idea of stretching our faith! The world is lost and when they ask WHY do you believe, I want a strong answer. Maybe you do too.

Believing God by Beth Moore is a study designed to strengthen our beliefs, regardless of where we are on the spiritual journey. We are leading this study when the world seems chaotic. Our foundations are cracked or crumbling, the Church is less respected, and many have lost their way.

We are leading this study when the worldview is pressuring us to walk away from God. Just turn on any television show and you will see the name of God used as a cuss word, the name of Jesus used as another cuss word, and the lack of respect for what is Holy. Look deeper and you will see only the Christian faith is disrespected on television. Look at the bestseller list and you will see a culture obsessed with sin.

When the world is dark, we need to reaffirm our belief in God. We need to know God is who He says He is. We need our trust in God who does what He says He can do.

This study helps us prioritize the Holy God above the unholy world.

As Beth Moore explains, “The bride of Christ in our generation is nearly paralyzed by unbelief.” With the “bride” as a metaphor for Christians today, she is afraid to speak about Christ her groom. She is afraid to stand against demonic cultures and hides in her paralysis of fear. A world that tells her to shut up or be de-platformed. Or lose her job. Or be uninvited to the holiday meal.

Open your Bible and read Galatians 3:26-27 NIV.

So, in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

What feelings come to mind when you remember you are God’s child? Does the world want you to be their child? Does the world steal what does not belong to them? Who is stealing your identity as a child of God?

These are important questions for people to ask themselves. In historical times, Old Testament for example, the Pharisees tried to steal the children of God by creating rules they couldn’t keep. In New Testament times, we are comforted knowing that Jesus tells us the Truth. So why do we listen to those who lie? Because deception is a birth sign of the end times.

And so my friends, when those end times come where do you want to stand? On the Promised Land with Jesus or in eternal hell with the Antichrist? Choose your ground. Believe God, because the decision is eternal.

Decide today to love God, know God, and believe God.

Let’s study, connect, and grow.
