What effect does Artificial Intelligence (AI) have on the Bible? Should we be concerned about machine-generated answers to biblical questions? Will schoolchildren become dependent on computer-generated solutions instead of critical thinking and emotional processing? Let’s have a conversation.

After a business coach recommended Artificial Intelligence (AI) for her clients, I created a ChatGPT account and tested the features. I found the computer-generated impressive with rapid-speed answers. In fact, like a microwave oven, it lessened my workload greatly. As I watched the computer type answers to my questions, I was amazed at the vast knowledge and the quickly typed sentences.

While the attraction for Artificial Intelligence (AI) has many people talking, I decided to talk about it with God. And so, I prayed. Within minutes of requesting discernment, I had the answer inside my heart.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not Holy Spirit filled.

Sure, it’s intellectual.

Sure, it writes great sales copy, marketing emails, and news stories.

Sure, it works for both good and evil.

As a Christian Coach, Bible Teacher, and Author…Artificial Intelligence (AI) for me is nothing more than a digital brain. It is a massive database of answers, data harvesting, and metaverse knowledge. The computer cannot speak for God, know His heart, and release His prophecies. Computers do not experience spiritual dreams or see visions. But, they can harvest online databases to create artificial words of knowledge (read that twice).

What is the definition of Artificial? It’s the stuff I try to avoid in my foods because it makes me sick. Apparently, it will be okay for my mind?  It is “humanly contrived” according to Merriam-Webster (accessed 7/13/2023). Take note of these words: “caused or produced by a human and especially social or political agency.” Surely, they will rewrite the definition soon to make it more appealing to the general population.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and The Bible

Artificial Intelligence (AI) can harvest the words of God, twist those words, and restructure religion. More than ever before, as FAKE intelligence creates FAKE Bible facts, we need sound Bible coaches, teachers, and pastors of the Holy Spirit!

We need PRINT Bibles in our homes and in the hands of our children and grandchildren. Classic literature for the next generation of Christ followers.

Deuteronomy 11:18-21 (NIV): Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

We need spiritual DISCERNMENT from the Holy Spirit, and not a computer harvesting religious comments from computer databases. The day Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes our moral code is the day we have lost our souls to the devil. Be wise and guard your heart and mind.

John 14:26 (NIV): But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Learn to discern Artificial Intelligence (AI) from Holy Spirit Intelligence. You’ll want to carry the Spirit of God in your heart, mind, and soul. After all, computers cannot fulfill the two greatest commands: LOVE the Lord will all your heart and LOVE your neighbors.

Now as your Bible Cafe™ Coach, I say this kindly… put down your computer, tablet, or phone and pick up your Holy Bible. Know where to find the moral answers and Biblical truths that you need for today. Stop letting computers tell you how to think, feel, and speak as they censor your words.
